You gotta put away everything that could break, get filled, put markers in the ground so that you don't lose track of the curb/drive way. make sure all your plants are pruned/cut/capable of surviving the cold and having all the winter tools taken out of storage and ready to be used.
you also have to make sure all your pipes are closed and drained to prevent them from freezing and exploding
