My thoughts as well. I read that she spoke about only signing with a label if the creative direction was on her terms, and my first impression of the album was that it was very much in tune with her.

I don't like it simply because when there's a Nijisanji event happening, everyone else migrates to EN to livepost, then afterwards there's a 200 post argument about why there was JP posting. I genuinely don't understand. That thread was more active than the KR thread during KR debuts and none of them spoke fluent English, and there are people who actually know Korean in the KR thread.
It's a mystery.

I think of the complete opposite of your opinion; Mito's personality shines a lot during her im@s streams because she's an actual fan, she keeps on telling things about the past installments, going into long tangents when she remembers something interesting to tell, ogling the girls and self-inserting into the story. I'd say it's better than shitware with characters that barely have personalities like Hotel Izanami, for a recent example. Probably just me biased because we're both im@s producers.

I do have the general impression from fans who are more into Hololive or English vtubers that, at minimum, they acknowledge Mito as a creative person even though they haven't looked into her much. I think the human centipede watchalong spread as one of the main things western fans think of.
A small part of me is also fine with Nijisanji not having the explosive popularity that Hololive has had with English-speaking fans. They're popular enough that the EN branch is successful and have dedicated clip channels that translate multiple livers (not a strict metric of anything, just that there's a community that actively encourages it), but not to the point that JP chats have English-speaking fans speaking among themselves.

I like the current balance too where there isn't too many incidents of unruly chatters but part of me wishes more people could enjoy their content. I think where the zoomer chatters come from are the lewd or out of context 5 second clips, if random stuff like Mito discussing the Kabbalah got clipped semi-often, I doubt those kinds of chatters would rush in. You can make a trashy ooc clip from anyone, and thankfully Nijisanji doesn't have that much in EN. I'm reading this over, hopefully it doesn't come off as tribalistic as I'm not.

Honestly I think things are better this way with most people just knowing she exists. While Mito is interesting and has good opinions, not a lot of her humor would sit well with westerners like literally everything concerning Kan-chan for example. And vtuber watchers these days are not really into talking content which is her specialty.

I think Levergacha and the other variety show type of content on the main Nijisanji channel filters EOPs. You could say that you could still figure out what's happening through context clues, but I assume for most people who don't know Japanese, concerts are just easier to randomly tune into.

if you look at her arms, its pretty obvious that she used her 3d model as a reference with the awkwardly stiff positioning, solid blocky coloring and oddly broken left hand. her face, hair and uniform is completely drawn by her though. nevertheless i was very surprised to see this because she doesn't really draw complete pieces. i wonder what is she going to use this for.
