there are decisions that can be seen as questionable/shortsighted, like DEV_IS confused introduction, but Cover generally had a good run based on the policy "stumble into success, consciously avoid failure", which is why their innovative ideas tend to flop, they improve on iterations and they treat their baseline (the girls) pretty well
