I would say that low pay and a poor working environment are far more fucked up and pressing issues than having to tackle than this. Compared to the other things NijiEN got in hot water over the course of this year, this ranks far lower on the totem pole in comparison.
Its just more weird than anything, being a Japanese company does Anycolor think anything outside of a nuclear family is too much of a potential turn off? Or is that a cover in case random male voice pops up on stream? Its hard to understand the decision behind that and doesn't seem like it was done out of malice compared to the usual antics.

Yes, but they're still playing up things for the character model, and not every vtuber is 100% honest or open about their life either. It just seems like an odd thing to get worked up over, because this isn't even close to one of the more "evil" things Anycolor did this year.
