The reason why everyone shits on her isn't because she decided to leave, but because she dared to step out of the graduation queue. She wasn't supposed to announce her departure before 2025, and certainly not a few days after Chloe did. That has really made a dent in Cover's PR.

Two things. There was a month of cooldown between Aqua and Ame. Second thing - Cover knew the graduation queue is getting insanely long, so they came up with the "affiliate" business. Which is basically a graduation - you will never ever see her perform with others again, but you don't get the closure and can cope that ONE DAY they'll appear again.
Fauna didn't agree to become an affiliate - a bad PR move, since everyone has peddled the rrat that the affiliate status is a godsend - you do nothing and get the money. It also means she doesn't want to be connected with Cover ever again.
Both are very bad for the PR and needed some kind of feedback - not a note from an intern - but a shittalk from her coworkers.

So with that in mind, would YOU give a fuck if you were gonna leave a company like that? I certainly wouldn't. It's not like she spent an hour grilling them either, and it's not like other members haven't explained how Cover is VERY retarded a lot of times behind the scenes. Corpo worship is fucking cringe, stop it. They're a bunch of unhappy and faceless japs in an office in tokyo, they're not gonna send you an award for defending them.
