It happens because pages like this allow people to sub to multiple channels in the span of seconds. Youtube thinks they are bots and removes them. Multiple agencies have reported losing subs and they all have had places where the whole generation could be subbed altogether.

Do they have any way to actually FIX the evil robot running Youtube that does shit like this or randomly deleting channels?. People got so upset over Kiara but how many small 500 sub Vtubers 20 viewer Vtbers have magically disappeared in a puff of smoke? How many folks have been demonetized because the algorithm though their hair looked like a dick? Not just the EN girls but wat about smaller ones like Phase Connect ? This is a load of bullshit and everyone across the board should be pressuring Youtube to fix this shit. A class action lawsuit for this ineptitude would be a great idea

HoloEN 1 is undeniably the most successful generation of vtubers, period.
That being said, that was back during the big lockdown vtuber boom. The moment has passed. Vtubers are still popular but a lot of people got bored and left the fandom. HoloEN gen 2 numbers reflect that.
HoloEN 2's numbers should be higher than they are rn, but they would have never matched 1 even without YT shenanigans.
