I personally prefer a natural voice and not this fake animeish voice that just gets annoying over time and it feels like they're trying to hard to appeal to crowd vs just doing it naturally.

Then why the hell would natural voices be better than trained voices, that is non sense! And even those so called "natural voices" are actually fake voices, nobody talks in public like they talk at home. It also creates fake proximity and may lead to the bad types of parasocial!
So no. I heavily prefer girls who put up a voice and build a character, that is why I watch vtubers.

Put on a character early on to try and stand out.
Ease your natural (streamer buffed) voice in, because streaming is hard on the throat.

This is a far better estimation of her real voice, even if she is talking to her cat and probably naturally is using a slightly higher pitch than normal, as most do when talking to their pets.

It depends. Some don't do it on purpose and are stuck with it because it brings them views Like Chibidoki or Filian Gremlins modes. Some are professional VA and do it naturally. Others even add accents like Tenma for anonymity purposes. There's also cases where Vtubers started with a squicky voice and went back to their natural one like Snuffy. In the case of Pikamee her voice change was during her Pika days long before she graduated. Her late Pika days were probably the most natural, now she sound the same but goes over the top to try sounding cuter.

Yeah, the retard who can't act or lie for her life somehow keeps up a 100% fake voice for 6-10 hour streams. Her general voice on stream is going to be slightly different from her "off stream" voice, but it's absolutely not early pikamee levels of deep.

Most streamers that have been doing it for a long time end up reverting to their real voices anyways. I've watched a ton of Miko, Korone, Pekora, and Lamy; they all sounds very different from debut.

It's very noticeable in the stream where she watches her own debut, maybe not as drastic as some of the other members. Those are only the members I mentioned because I liked them enough to watch through their archives.

I've heard a real college girl talk with an even higher pitched voice than Fauna. Was kinda annoying and she was definitely not faking it.
