The thing is, even though some of these kinds of shows are very famous and well liked, we usually get between 0-2 new moe SoL/comedy shows per anime season, often 0 lately. That amounts to at most an hour of new CGDCT anime content per week per season. With vtubers it is possible to suddenly have more fresh cute girls content than you ever remotely did with anime, it's practically as much as you can physically handle, daily. Vtubing is a giant firehouse of content, but because there is so much of it even if 99% if it is bad that remaining 1% is super competitive an experience vs any other.
