I (as a straight guy) have watched some Bettel streams, as well as some of the TTRPG that Ruze organised (and I have some of the vods still on my watch later). I used to enjoy the occasional Vesper stream. I've superchatted a few of them. I don't care about mild/occasional fujo pandering if it happens. If Stars go full fujo nijisister pandering then I'm no longer watching, and I'm sure I'm not the only casual viewer who'll do the same.

This is the problem. Cover has millions of male viewers that would potentially watch a holostars stream if it was just a normal guy doing a normal stream. They got close to it with vesper and magni before they both went menhera and quit.
Instead they hired fujobait and flamboyant gays who talk about their bussy or cry about stuff while playing visual novels or animal crossing on stream.

Bettel is probably your best bet for watching a stream and enjoying your night. Just stay away from the rage game ones and unfortunately he has a few "gay is funny" moments during collaboration so solo or with his brother is probably the peak of it.
Maybe it's because I'm older but every time Bettel whines I feel like making him mow my lawn.

What's wrong with what? If you're asking what's wrong with them doing lore, the only problem is that they don't do enough of it. Managers were afraid to pitch it, and it took Axel asking Yagoo when they met in person for lore voicepacks to be introduced. The boys want to do lore. The fans want lore content. Management is retarded and keeps pushing yume pandering, including that bait-and-switch where ARMIS got yume VPs and TEMPUS got actual lore.
StarsEN could potentially capture the subset of hags who love lore-based content and spend irresponsible amounts on their favorite series. Most of them are still fujos, but they dislike pandering and prefer sticking to their own corner and using lore to fuel their fantasies. Think Kirk/Spock shippers with their fanzines vs the general Star Trek fanbase. Those types of fans are what saved Gundam in its infancy.
