I know of the casual Higurashi fans from way back since I was a Type-Moon person when Beast's Lair was established long ago and had cross pollination with 07th Expansion, so I knew the people who just got into it for "le crazy violent lolis" and from what Nerissa talks about, she's not like those types. Interesting that her favorite is Shion, but she likes the cast mostly, though hates Satoko now. But from her taste, she isn't the Ghibli normie, who would hate something like Shuffle (her favorites are Sia and Nerine), High School of the Dead, and High School DXD. Casual fans might like the latter two ironically, but she seems like to actually like them. I'd almost bet she got into TVTropes and through that, a lot of Umineko theory vids too, that doesn't seem like a normie.
