Some genius thought it would be a brilliant idea to include 2 undersize male models, shota and femboy, which left Ren the most popular by default with his standard prettyboy look. But the guy barely streamed and had the personality of wet cardboard, nor would he pander to their fetishes.

These people in general were extremely bad hires. Not only are they bad on an individual basis, but as a group they are totally dysfunctional, which is something that's come to characterize mixed-gender waves in general.
Whoever was in charge of hiring for XSoliel was almost just as stupid. 2 of the girls didn't speak English and immediately got Luca'd....into the garbage they go. The only girl people were excited about got fired a few months after debut over some bullshit. That was significant because the girls in ILuna were barely watchable for various reasons, so it was really like 2 years since the branch actually got some female talent people could watch. When she was gone, it left a bitter taste and the feeling of dying hope.
As for the male side. Whoever hired Ver is a total idiot, the guy has no testosterone in his voice and his personality makes pussies as dry as deserts. Even worse, his motivations for joining was to sexpest one of the girls leading to some top tier cringe moments. I guess Hex gave the sisters what they wanted, but he also created a bunch of minor scandals with his immoral and shitty behavior.
