>>91271286>You do not understand what you're talking aboutNo, I very much do. Thanks to leaks in Ubisoft we learned that Watch Dogs London was made entirely in Visual scripting and on top of that they didn't even attempt to optimize the code(or in this case nodes) so it was a janky piece of shit.
We're also seeing devs that have never worked in games(and aren't normal programmers either) being hired, how else do you explain the travesty like the newest Star Wars game?
Hell Michael Ancel one of the only good people at Ubisoft(who are close to being shuttered) was cancelled for "harassing women" turns out that was because he was telling them to stop wasting time and get to work. But you can't say that anymore because of people's "mental health"
How do you not see this as horrifying?
Or how about the fact that basic fixes now take days as you need to go through multitudes of red tape and pointless hires who need to feel like valid team members. Seriously, this isn't "/v/" things are going horrifically, layoffs in thousands, a AAA company set to be shuttered if they can't come to an agreement with Tencent not to mention the biggest failure in all of entertainment history that cost at minimum $200m and likely closer to $400m.
