>>91332447>>91332589The whole point of Hololive is that you're "one big family" and so the box will at least try out the other chuubas and give them a chance by watching their content for a while - this means more chance of "smaller" chuubas getting a dedicated audience and not being left to dust.
This effect was pretty much non-existent for ReGloss - which is why their debuts were much lower than HoloX, and why all the other girls had to do all those saviorfag collabs pushing them for like 2-3 months before they normalized somewhat.
But as soon as those collabs died out, their numbers collapsed as well - because the average "Hololive" fan has no incentive to try them out - especially when they're pushing homo shit and 3-4 of them are doing male collabs off the bat.
But it at least gave them a little reassurance that maybe ReGloss won't really be THAT different from Hololive...
...which collapsed as soon as they were given a fucking huge-ass sub goal for getting their 3D (stark contrast with previous sub goals which were more by necessity of the company being small and encouraging hard work, and how homos never really had to clear any of these goals at ANY point in their lives).
That said, there were less homo pandering with FlowGlow so their debut numbers were far higher than HoloX - meaning more interested parties.
But what they saw was just more anti-Otaku shit.
Makeup? Hobby for Women. Racing? Chad hobby. Rap? Completely divorced from Japanese culture and unpopular enough that even Mori had to diversify away from it.
While that had people's curiosity up for a bit, it didn't have that same level of promotion from the senpais that ReGloss had - meaning it felt EVEN MORE distanced from Hololive, despite not jumping straight into the male collab thing.
Dev_IS is cute girls, for sure, and they might get a small audience off of that.
But they aren't "Hololive".
