>>91508194Legit. Outside of a small handful of anime and manga, Japanese culture and entertainment are boring to me, and their take on vtubing is no different. I don't like idol culture, I don't like the idea of playing characters, and I certainly don't like the extended community feeling that comes with corpo vtubing. Western corpos try too hard to emulate all of those, so I avoid them just as much as I avoid the JP ones. I just happen to like certain normal streamers that stream with a vtuber avatar, and I'd happily continue watching them if they went full fleshie or used no facecam of any kind, like vinesauce.
