Matsuri drags me to watch hololive and in just two years I realized if fine I can't translate for shit without taking my time, I can sorta understand now most of what are they saying before someone in chat translates the thing, and then I read the translation and sure enough, I get extremely close to the actual meaning if not outright correct. Nowadays I'm translating clips.
Look, you gonna hate it but it's just getting in the right mindset and genuinely paying attention. Once you get used to it, it really auto-learns itself.
This of course only for talk and hearing, and you are going to get used to the streamer at that; actually genuinely learning the language and letters/kanji is another different beast.
