Dude, it came out months ago, they had a trailer and release a couple of manga pages and everything. HoloEN isn't even involved with this, and it's considered to be a completely different universe than ours, meaning the lore won't get in the way of the girls streaming. If anything, HoloEN should take after HoloAlt and have the deep lore shit kept separate from the girls personal lore, so it doesn't look like some chunni idiot wrote their backstories.

I'm fine with the idea, but a big thing with Touhou is that there are intentional "holes" that you feel compelled to fill (I'm talking about lore since the sexual part of that metaphor also applies to Hololive, but not the lore) while in Hololive Alternative there isn't something like that. When you read a Touhou story, you felt like something really big happened and even if it ends with a party and drinking, you know that very powerful people were involved and that the balance could have shifted. You're often left with some feelings that something still isn't right. Currently the Holo Alternative lore reads like someone that took the incident -> resolution -> party structure but didn't add all the mystical aspect
