The best thing about Ahoy is how it completely encapsulates Marine's character and how it is her theme song. People shout ahoy as both a catchphrase and as a call out to the song. I can't think of another vtuber who really has a theme song like this beyond shit like the Pekora rap.

Marine has done an expert job, moreso than nearly anyone else, at creating a vtube persona that allows her to appeal to both the Japanese audience that devours artifice and the Western audience that falls in love with authenticity.
