The first two gens were not fans of JPs or vtubing and never understood what made Hololive special. Justice and Advent for the most part get it. It probably helps that Covers onboarding and EN tardwrangling is better these days too.

She's the most professional one, alongside Kiara, Kronii, and Bae. These four make up the core of Hololive EN, the inner circle of people so talented at being slick and professional, they can easily make it in the live entertainment industry if they preferred. The rest are kinda just streamers with an extra hobby each they turned into a theme for their channel.

I would not say this is a significant problem. But it does give collabs a bit of an imbalance. When newcomers collab with oldtimers, there's a lot of overemphasis on "hyping up" and complimenting all the oldtimers. It's similar in many ways to the hierarchy culture present in much of Asia, where respect of the "old guard" is written into the DNA of the company culture. The fact that these new gens are genuine about their love of the hierarchy can sometimes stifle collabs. The first gens were truly professional - very skilled, very talented people - but the new gens need to grow on their own without spending their limited and valuable time in Hololive boosting the old guard, especially since it will be a lot of wasted effort when they inevitably have to move on.

The new get their feet off the ground in service of the old, and as the old pass on, they take their place. Perhaps it's inevitable for this dynamic to persist. But even so, I believe the new gen talents should try and be brave and independent. Strike out and make their place in Hololive their own as soon as possible. Every single talent's time is fraught with impermanence, just like our fragile lives as humans, and they must make the most of it, just like we must make the most of ours.
