>>91775978Kenshi is a (mostly) sandbox, squad, wasteland survival game in which you control one or many characters and are free to do whatever you want. You start from the VERY bottom and are an useless sack of shit, but through effort you can become a less useless sack of shit, who can build their own town, smith their own weapons, wage war against other faction or join them, while also exploring the wast world for secrets and equipment.
It has been developed over the span of 10+ years and for most of that time It was a solo dev project. While the team got bigger and the game is "finished" the development it went through still means that there is a lot of stuff unfinished or just never implemented as intended. That's were the mods come in since the game as a very dedicated modding scene.
Look at it like this. The vanilla game is a great foundation but mods actually transform it into what it was meant to be.
Now what the team is bigger Kenshi 2 is in development and will (hopefully) be everything Kenshi 1 wanted to be.
