Honestly I think hologta blew them up. I was kinda neutral on them to that point but that showed me they were capable of making very good comedy. I'm not a ruffian now or anything but if I see theyre in a collab I'll prolly check it out

This was definitely the year of Dokibird; people may like her, people may hate her, but everyone had an opinion, and even Hololive people somehow ended up involved.

Fuwamoco though? They're somehow less relevant than Shylily and Bao in the EN sphere, and I've seen nothing to suggest that they've had a massive impact in Japan either, like having loads of collabs with JP talents.

They never proved they were the fabled "Gura Killer," they didn't massively shake of VTubing, they just...are what they are, and nothing more.

Heck, even Ame had more impact with her weird Not Graduation.

Maybe Mel should do something that makes her stand out more than gooning streams. The biggest highlight in her career was that she made a bunch of camwhores seethe, since then she's just doing nothing, even her NSFW material is low effort now.

Tb-desu, I think they tried to rig the vtuber awards so either Ironmouse or Doki would win Vtuber of the year. I found it weird how they only have 4 options for each category and it's always the weirdest fucking people. Like why was Fuwamoco one of the four options instead of Gura, or Mori, or Pekora, or even someone else in their gen like Beeboo?

I think they didn't want Hololive to win, but they knew if they didn't have at least one Hololive talent people would call them out for it, so they picked Fuwamoco because they didn't think they could win. The irony is that since there was only one Hololive option for Vtuber of the year, every Hololive fan must have picked Fuwamoco just to support the blue dorito. So if you had like 2 Hololive talents it would have divided the vote, and IronLung would have probably won again. But Fuwamoco just pulled a Trump and now they're Vtuber of the Year anyways.

Honestly, this is what I felt too. Other than some funny moments during HoloGTA, FWMC were just there. Doki was the one who shook up the vtubing sphere in the west, and while I'm glad she bagged two wins, I truly believe she should have also won VotY.

i simply cannot believe that these awards aren't rigged when some complete literalwhos won certain categories just because it fit, as if anyone would not vote for their more popular oshi because of that. Not to mention the complete ?????? bullshit like Mito mysteriously getting nominated for vt of the year.

The holosweep just seemed like it was an attempt to build a bridge to them desu. same with grifterrat winning last year because they wanted her good graces (attempt failed)
