>>92029508In comparison to Cover's studio, Kanata went with Virtual Avex.
So breaking it down.
Avex is a music label so they'll have solid recording equipment in general and do a lot of 3D concerts. This also include Pripara(an idol centric series). You've likely seen their 3D studio work in random anime since they're fucking everywhere. So their motion data capture will be pretty damn good, not as good as HoloStudio's but it's made up for.
The models are the same one's Cover uses so there's no difference there, at worst some minor normal or shader adjustments(depending) are needed or desired.
So, so far it's 2/2 of being pretty much the same.
The third part, the tech side is totally different. Even if they're also using Unity they've taken a lot of time to improve their systems to allow for better lives. Allowing for higher bitrates with lower latency as they've had a lot of time to improve on top of early 3D work that they've technically had longer to improve their systems. Shader interaction, how the cameras move or just the camera system in general, particles being optimized, etc. Same as if you were making a game. Additionally like I mentioned in the Latency steps, we're technically only facing TWO of the three steps as the live was seemingly pre-recorded(if I'm wrong then Avex's systems are far FAR superior to Cover's. But it seemed like we got the two step version meaning a better chance to clean up rogue data and optimize things like the UI and particles further to ensure the highest bitrate possible without buffering.
>tl;dr - There's 3 major parts in relation to the studio chosen. The studio itself is more for motion data and how much it can capture. The models determine how well they deform and are affected by shaders(You can see these in Marine's old and new models if you want to try and spot the difference) also forgot to mention the rig. FINALLY there's the actual system and THIS is what made Kanaken's live look so much better than Cover's studio, the system is superior even if the studio isn't.For a solid live you need ALL THREE aspects to be strong.
Shit studio = shit motion data
Shit models = shit appearance of the models
Shit system = bitrate crunch for low latency or lots of buffering if you require high bitrate.
As one last point on this, many Anons see this whenever the girls use their 3D models and then some other effect or accessory with a lot of polys or visual data that makes them lag out or break. Mumei's recent unarchived Karaoke for example. Cover really needs to fix it's base systems for both 2D and 3D but they seem to make decisions to account for Youtube being run by absolute retards.
