I don't know why people keep saying this. A continental and an intercontinental are a pretty big leap, but in both cases 100% of members are still going to be getting on a plane and staying in another country/state for weeks at a time. It changes literally nothing.
That said, that "literally nothing" is still a strict upgrade to spending 10% of their assets on this fucking shit.

Is it really aimless, though? Seems like the plans were set quite awhile ago and they're just slowly expanding on everything. You've got a social hub where you chill and play minigames like poker. A sandbox survival map where you can go on adventures and build stuff. And lastly occasional in-game concerts to bring everyone together in one place. The goal being to create an online space for Hololive fans to find each other, do things together, and buy virtual goods. Optimistically speaking maybe even bring in new blood like Holocure or Idol Showdown, but I can't imagine it ever having that much outside appeal unlike those games. You can say it's a bad idea, but there is an idea here.

Those features seems scattered if they wanted an online space environment they should simply look at vrchat. The survival features also seems odd when it's not the main core of the system it feels like it was added impulsively when palworld survival mechanics got popular using little human resources without focusing on delivering the supposed experience. Making fan interaction digital is also kinda dumb now that I think about it considering it goes against making people actually attend live events in person and having a deeper appreciation of different fans in the real world. Heck if they truly wanted fans interacting digitally aren't we doing it right now in a more convenient and cheap manner?

It has been 3 years since HoloEarth was first announced.
Updates are sparse and most of the fanbase doesn't know/routinely forgets it exists.
It was originally planned to release in 2024. Well 2024 is nearly over and it's still only on version 0.13, i.e. miles away from being finished

I was expecting the ability to dig up the ground and make underground houses like in minecraft. The way it is now feels generic and having a huge field that you can't dig or interact with feels empty and shallow.
