Talk, killing time and some low brain gambling activity. She just has to roll (literally) and she'll win at some point of time. It can be the first roll but also take days like rolling for the shiny magikarp. It's maybe the effect that people want to attend the moment when something very rare happens. It's simple but so effective as a streamer if you are able to keep talking or get some guests to support you for a moment.

hat wasn't my intention. Sorry. I'm just fascinated by how she can turn the most boring content into something people WANT to attend. It feels like Fubuki isn't the most prominent Holo (anymore), but she's definitely shining bright in her own entertaining way. "Killing time" might not be the best phrase to describe it, but her endurance in tackling a statistically very, VERY unlikely result has led to hours and days of her streaming. You can tune in at any time and want to glue your eyes to the stream because the next turn could be it. That's how Fubuki establishes memes and noteworthy things about herself. I just got caught in the HoloGTA clip hell, and it always makes me a little sad how Fubuki's own plot and acting within the world seem to get less recommended than Fuwamoco and (most of) the police crew.
I absolutely love what Fubuki does and how addicted she can become to certain things, but it's really difficult to fathom her magic.

You do realize that you get recommended what to watch? Personally, I don't get recommended anything police related, except for a little bit of Biboo and Miko. Most of my clips were Korone, Fuwamoco and Fubuki with a little bit of Ina. You're probably just subscribed to the clippers who make more clips about other vtubers. And finally, you can't deny that Fuwamoco were the stars of this event, they gave it their all and people liked their performance. It doesn't mean that other girls have fallen off. It's just a single event, come on

Also, I just noticed that Miko's 12-hour stream has a million (sic!) views. People just watched her play a single slot machine in Yakuza. Hilarious. They just decided to do some boring things for hours and it got a huge amount of attention and viewers. Funny stuff. People love them

Fuwamoco's clips get recommended the most because they're short. The condensed version of the whole bakery plot is hours long. Doesn't help that Youtube is aggressively pushing shorts as the TikTok alternative.

They're cute and it's nice that they got some attention, but they definitely weren't the stars of the event. They were just kind of in the periphery the whole time. The real stars were the bakery family and Fubuki, and maybe even Polka. Fuwamoco were just favored by the algos.

It would be too much to explain but in very short: When I open Youtube, I'm considered as a new viewer (no cookies, no account). So I watch a clip and the algorithm recommends more clips. Don't ask me why, but today I started with a FWMC/Korone clip, watched a Korone Liar's bar clip and got the Kanade-Subaru clip. I could draw some lines between these clips but the first clip was the police clip. Add some Youtube region bullshit and we might get more. Just my impression of a single day. The marriage clip was recommended all the time back then so don't put too much weight on my words. I should dig deeper into the Kitsuneverse again.

I've watched a few JP holomems discussing the event, and all of them liked Fubuki and FWMC's shenanigans

I don't know for sure, but I've seen a smart TV used exactly like this (no account and it was a YT app, it's not a browser so it doesn't store cookies either). And YT was still recommending exactly what was most watched on that TV. Same topics, same channels. Regardless, I did not undertake a comprehensive investigation into the matter. However, you are still delving excessively deeply
