>>92544731I think FUWAMOCO's biggest weakness is one that I rarely, if ever, see talked about. Of course it would require watching streams and I know many raiders trying to get fans to leave FUWAMOCO don't do that. It also could be that this is just a straight up criticism of them and people are loathe to do that, even when their names aren't attached to it.
I think FUWAMOCO's biggest weakness is that they are just inefficient at getting things done. When I watch their streams or read their tweets I keep hearing the same things over and over.
>You'd think with two people we'd get things done twice as fast right? Well with FUWAMOCO, that's not exactly how it works. >Wuffians FUWAMOCO have to be together all the time. If Mocochan goes to a recording, Fuwawa goes, and if I go to a recording Mocochan goes. >Raffians we both have to agree on everything, so we both have to agree on tweets and we both have to fill out paperwork together. These obviously aren't exact quotes but I do remember them saying these things repeatedly. Then there are their tweets.
>Tweets about dance practice being long.>Tweets about dance practice being frustrating.>Tweets about wanting to be a better dancer. So basically FUWAMOCO have to be together to do everything, or at the very least they want to be. They've lived their entire lives like this, in what some would call codependency. That's cute and I don't hold that against them but it's probably frustrating also for them and for us because of their other issue which is they seem to be bad at stuffs, namely homework.
If you put this together, what you end up with is a lot of time is eaten up, maybe even double or more, because they are always together and maybe not the fastest learners. Have you ever seen an idol dance practice? Maybe you've seen Nene's famous pictures where she just shops herself in over her pictures. Or you could watch this quick vid of Sally Amaki doing idol practice.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qhmWhlvAMA0What you'll see in many pictures and videos is a group of idols and some are being trained by the dance instructor and many are just sitting against the wall on their phones. That's because you have to train people one at a time, then they all put it together, and sometimes some people need extra attention so everyone else has to wait. FUWAMOCO have to this because they are always together and they probably need more instruction than most because they are always mixing up left and right (and are probably tired because they didn't get enough sleep and low energy because they eat like shit). Even if one twin got everything perfect and one twin didn't, it's not like you can call that one twin in for extra lessons on Sunday or something because the other will inevitably follow since they rely on each other for emotional support and critique. So if one needs extra lessons, that eats up time for both of them because at best the other will just be on her phone in the studio and there's not much you can do from there if you need to set up thumbnails, make schedules, etc.
I think this extends to homework too. It'd be more efficient if Mococo sent merch emails and Fuwawa sent permissions requests but you just KNOW one of them types it while the other one backseats or gives advice and input on wording and stuff. I unironically think this is probably part of the reason it took them so long to find an apartment in Japan, of course I'm not discounting racism and the market, but I'm pretty sure they did everything together, one at a time.
I post this all here because I’m not sure what the solution is, or even if there is a solution. I think they already know this and it would just make them feel bad so I don’t say anything about it. They’ve lived their entire lives like this but now they’ve hit the big time and are on a level of pressure and professional responsibility they’ve likely never experienced before. It’s their first “real” job and it’s a doozy. What worries me is the future when they start appearing as guests on more concerts. Those dance practices will only increase and they’re probably still bumping into each other, forgetting to mirror, or even performing the other’s routine because they’re just so used to it. And yes I know they used to do this before but not like this and not on this level. You can definitely tell they want to go further and be professional idols and that means complex routines. The obvious solution would for them to be a bit more independent and tackle things separately so they could get them done faster but you can’t just say “Do that” to people who have lived their entire lives this way.
TLDR: Right now FUWAMOCO are not as fast in getting things done as even one person would be. They aren’t two halves of one person, they’re two people taking maybe twice as long or longer to get things done.
