>>92573486>"Muh social construct and therefore meaningless"Kronii needs to read Aristotle. She (like most modern people, due to the domination of mechanistic notions of metaphysics and causation) conflates immanent teleology with extrinsic teleology and says that as the calendar is the latter instead of the former, it is thus irrelevant as it is a result of human artifice. However, this is wrongheaded. If something is a social construct then it has a purpose by definition, the fact that it is man-made doesn't make it meaningless as such, especially if that construct is part of a greater naturally occurring whole (in this case, human civilization which is part of the inherent collectivist nature of Man). Kronii conflates immanent telelogy (the human-independent purpose of a seed is to grow into a certain type of flower) with extrinsic (ie "imposed" teleology, like a carpenter turning wood into a chair). The calendar is meant to order and simplify human civilization, and human civilization is part the general immanent (naturally occurring) telos of mankind as such.
