Why do some people get mad at Vtubers for having a boyfriend/girlfriend when those vtubers don’t even do GFE? Like, if he/she DID do BFE/GFE and was actually together with someone I’d kinda get it but lot's don’t.

It’s like being a vegan and getting made at your favorite chuuba for eating meat. Even though they never said they were a vegan to begin with. They have a life outside of their job. Like you should.

Vtubers attract a lot of people who are just not ok. All women that stream struggle with those types, vtubers just seem to attract them more. Even then those types can be separated into a different groups. Some simply don't like to listen about some other guy and some have full-scale melty

Even for non-GFE content vtubing inevitably uses a level of parasocial attachment to the streamer and the majority of viewers (subconsciously) watch the stream imagining a level of kinship with the streamer and in most cases there is a romantic aspect to it as well (the abscence of it is basically the equivalent of being "platonic friends" with a 10/10 and not wanting to fuck her).

The reminder that they have a bf/gf ruins this immersion. Most people aren't schizo enough to care what goes on behind the scenes, see for example a lot of popular holos including Fauna have or had a bf but that did nothing to impact their popularity. The problem is when you bring it up on stream, nobody wants to hear about how their chuuba got dicked down by chad last week.

Also none of this is limited to vtubing all of it applies to random normalfag twitch fleshies as well.
