what if collabing with countless vtubers over the years finally caught up to her? her social media reach is far greater than most vtubers. she gets normies into the space and then redistributes them to other vtubers through collabs. think of how many vtubers you were introduced to this way.
i think to a degree thats what she wants to do, getting people to appreciate vtubing as a medium and all - hence the vtuber awards as well. but her numbers going down the past few months is a result of her serving the normie clientele instead of the people loyal to her. there have always been things i hated about her streams, but she somehow always struck a balance and kept me roped in. lately, like other anons pointed out, i stopped caring about her streams. however, she never stopped being the comforting thought to guide me to sleep.
i dont want to listen to annoying tts (which she ignores 90% of the time anyway), chewed-through obnoxious soundbites, some faggot livestreaming from a con, the weekly ylyl slop being curated by the faggiest, normie-brained unfunny mods, the list goes on.
as much as i think filian is the sweetest girl around, her streams - in a vacuum - are very hit or miss in what the viewer can expect.
the few other vtubers i watch, i know exactly what im getting. lumi will play a megabased game and yap, marimari will do her dailies for the millionth time and im all for it.
filian? i might get a murdercrumpet collab that makes me want to kill myself, or an mma watchalong that has me excited about it for days after.
i dont want her to do the same shit every stream, and she doesnt wanna do that either. i want to be able to look forward to every stream.
