They effectively got the Stalin treatment in terms of how their firing was handled because they were both menhara pieces of shit behind the scenes (one in particular that got the first public EN suspension and completely wasted an artist's efforts in giving him a redesign that lasted all of 2 streams), and announcing 2 firings for a brand new branch not even a year had passed, more so for the "popular" ones in that branch would have been a death knell for Stars EN.
Dressing up their termination as a graduation helped management save face with fans, and it was convenient they decided to speedrun debuting the 2nd gen only 6 months after the first because if they didn't they'd risk having literally just 2 people in their branch which would have looked super dire. At least when Sana left there were still 10 people in HoloEN at the time.
