If your tech isn't worth investing, no one will, and I know their most profitable side of things is the talents and what comes with them, but (and I think this is the only popular example I can think off) it's kinda similar to that scene in The Boys, where it's explained that the company is not a superhero company, it's a pharmaceutical one, it's the same thing here Just because the other one is profitable, doesn't mean it is not important to them. This is why they annouced shit like for GiGi's event where they used VTubeStudio, as a "partnership"
Obviously, investing too much on repairing something that this thread and many others will tell you that, their audiences have been cucked into thinking this is the norm, it's another thing, because Cover has hired some of the best in the western industry, but many have their job cut to bare bone rigging because that's as much as the program allows them to.
It's just not profitable for them, and frankly I'm ok with it, whatever the corpocuck cope is, makes other riggers interest in surpassing whatever is in market, and we end up with more talented people.
