Fuck the "memories". Free entertainment you can cut off at any moment is the way to go, never feel any emotion towards them and their content other than slight amusement. People have given me shit for saying this but often neglect to consider that most of them WANT you to feel this way, they don't want you to feel anything towards them other than amusement for a few minutes or just enough to make you go "hey she made me laugh a few times, here's $5 for your street performance, lady". They just can't actually say that out loud or else they will lose potential customers. No street performer ever looks at you in the eye after they sing and say "hey, it's ok to like my song and to enjoy my vocal performance but don't you dare get too personal with me!". No, they just do their thing without saying that. So do that, just watch from afar and if shit gets too dirty then just leave, no commitment and no attachment.
