Hello liggermen, I hope all is well. It's time for the year wrap up for 2024.This is our top 25 in CCV for the entire year of 2024 vtubing. As usual, this is based on CCV for the entire year. Now as I am unable to go through every VOD and remove any flesh streams from these numbers like I do with the monthly numbers, we'll have to take it at face value and I will mark frequent flesh streamers with an asterisk to note that. For the liggers that use youtube and twitch, I've combined and averaged out their numbers to a total score. As a note, I will be including Dooby in these since she was an indie for about 3 months.

Notes:
>To check the overall growth of the vtubing community, I compared this years numbers to last years numbers, and the results are staggering: The overall health of the indie vtubing scene is almost double what it was last year. We have more 3k+ vtubers overall compared to last year, and the names at the top like Neuro and Filian outdid their previous years numbers by 2-4k respectively. Additionally, the middle of the pack of the top 25 is higher overall viewership as well, with the last few spots being 2k-ish where as last year the bottom spot was 1,300 ccv. The Influx of former corpo vtubers and their viewers is absolutely bringing new eyes to indies, and even in the mid to low level liggers are seeing gains year to year. The Vtubing bubble hasn't popped like the catalog would like you to believe, it's evolving to indie and twitch centric viewership.
>It cannot be overstated how important this year was in indie vtubing for the fact that Dokibird, Mint Fantome, and Dooby all became indies and all kept the vast majority of their consistent Viewership bases. With Nimi Nightmare on the horizon and other corpos eyeing the door, the possibilities for how they will effect the indies is endless.
>Vedal takes the top spot this year after being #3 last year, and Filian finishes #2 for the second year in a row. Vei, the previous #1, slipped to #4 this year, however she did not experience a massive drop off from year-to-year, it was just the viewership influx has been that dramatic for everyone else where as Vei keeps a more consistent demographic, numbers wise.
>Last year I correctly identified Olivia Monore, Shondo, and Camila as potential breakouts in the 1k category. All three of them became consistent 2k ccv vtubers, and I expect that trend to continue for them. The one I did not expect was Cottontail, who increased her ccv year to year by nearly 1k, and helped prove that lewdtubing is not a risk to a vtuber's brand and growth. For this same range, I would keep an eye on MariMari_EN, Yuy, Lucy Pyre, Arielle, and Froggylock as our next set of potential 2-3k vtubers.
>Other big Viewership gains came from Layna and Anny, both of who hit 1k CCV more than last year.
>Our biggest bounce back this year was Bao. She went from barely cracking 2k ccv last year to flirting with 2.5-3k regularly towards the end of the year. A lot of it is due to her refocusing herself on content creation with an eye for streams, plus a bit more of a consistent schedule. It's an excellent showing from her.
>Our biggest fall off is the one-two punch of Nyanners and Lord Aethelstan. Aethel went from 2,565 ccv for 2023 to 1,519 ccv for 2024, an audience loss of 45%. Part of it was he had some health issues middle of the year, but even outside of that he was already on a decline before that time off and since coming back he has streamed less and less, with viewership falling off a cliff. For the month of December he barely broke 1k ccv. Nyan went from 4,424 ccv in 2023 to 2,462ccv, which is still very respectable view count wise, but is still about a 40% drop off in viewership. Out of the two, Nyan would be more likely to recover long term and regain viewership, Aethel's channel reads like a content creator's worst nightmare: a death spiral.
>The mid size ligger scene is also thriving, with everyone mostly either at similar numbers to last year or up significantly. As we've seen with the overall numbers, this upcoming year will have tons of potential for breakouts, this may be your favorite ligger's year to be the next 1k+ stud.
Thank you liggers for reading all of this, I hope you are all well and have a wonderful new year.
