I think the feeling of being ostracized due to not being in Japan is a major factor for the EN girls not living there, not to mention that most of them are not fluent in Japanese anyway. But the constant need to travel to the studio every year, which btw Cover does not actually "cover" travel/lodging expenses lmao, and just generally dealing with JP corpo bureaucracy autism probably is going to turn even more EN members away this year. Like do people really think that Gura or Mumei want to sit in meetings with suits and talk business, do people think that Ame and Fauna wanted to do that? These are all girls that were neets/hikis, none of them are used to this kind of work they are expected to do besides just streaming occasionally. I personally think Gura is purposefully not streaming as a strike, because they know that they cannot just fire or suspend their top talent. So she's basically just not doing anything until shit changes, which clearly it won't considering Ame and Fauna left along with likely more this year
