anyway you hit it right on, i think eoal and even glass slipper (it seems deadbeats have a low opinion sinderella in general) are some of her best work. you have a negative perception of associating false bravado with hip hop, which is fair because like anything popular, including vtubing, there's a lot of phonies who only try to fit what they think the successful mold is instead of being sincere (and making it good). however i think the best verses come from authenticity and that's what makes them hard hitting.

https://x.com/SteveXQZ/status/1758185942643310999 is a short and fairly accessible example of what i mean. no false bravado, but it's genuine, well written, doesn't even have flowery language and relatable so it lands with the crowd there. obviously it's not a song but the parallels should be apparent. mori having more of those pockets where she can have bar after bar that really speak to how she felt when she wrote them are part of what make songs like eoal so special and that's why i wrote i'm disappointed she didn't develop in that area more. i also understand japan is probably not the best place for that, the modern hip hop artists i like from there are considerably less mainstream than the ones i don't.
