One thing Vei cited while leaving was to advise, similarly to OP's post, people get lawyers who "understand industry standards" (whatever that means) so they can advise you accordingly. Whatever she meant, VShojo listened and now makes all new talents get legal advice before signing. Also nobody seems to complain about contracts and contracts are talent specific. GEEGA stated that hers she wouldn't sign without a bunch of provisions and such unique to her, which Michi found surprising. Kson has talked about how her contract with VShojo is good, and seemingly was better than some others (allegedly Silver's but no proof of that exists).
Companies that learn and grow and put the talent first continue to be the best routes. Anybody else is exploitative and predatory.
