No it isn’t. When I often see such small changes in Hololive, I don’t point it out at all. It wouldn’t be significant enough of a drop for me to do so. Even with the much bigger changes there is some degree of pushback when pointed out.

Then the whole top bracket of VShojo is tied. 7k -> 7.7k -> 8.0k -> 8.7k, it's all in the same range, they would all be led by Nene and lead Polka with those numbers, which is not bad at all but most definitely not "inching towards the top" like some anon said.

Not doing so would penalize those who split SC reading from their regular streams in the exact same way.

If I can get my hands on the source for that image >>9338658 I would use the same methodology to fill it up, but for the medians like >>9336765 doing it for the avg is a better reflection of the true size of the continuous audience (instead of just the fraction that massed at the most interesting moment)

It could very easily double when he beats the game. SC rushes when vtuber finishes games is a tradition (Kanata vs Sans arc for example).

Seeing as Lauren is the current record holder for a monetization stream, getting to Kanae's level is not inconceivable.

Also, it's 4am JST and there's still so many people watching vtubers. JP's vtuber audience size is so much bigger and more flexible than EN's that it's not even fair.

The more exposure Ollie gets in the EN side of the divide, the more she expands the reach of HoloID

Unison just beat 3M views. The song is very experimental but the illustration is, IMO; the best of any Hololive original.

I've heard in this board that Marine disclosed that she paid something like 6 million yen for the art, of course , out of her pocket (about 50k).
The quality clearly shows and 3M * 0.5CPM = 1500 bucks, not even close of making it back but it was a passion project above all

Something went down at Cover HQ, because all of a sudden EN was allowed to collab with Coco, indies, and Vshoujo all at once. Kiara was trying to set up the Vei/Nyanners collab. Ina and Pikamee set up a collab. Mouse kept teasing the Mori one but didn't outright say it for like 2-3 weeks. In the intervening time Vei got exposed and pulled out, Nyanners got cold feet and then came back and agreed to a collab anyway, and Mori/Mouse got officially announced.

Depends when they do it, Ollie can get really good numbers when she does novelty streams. On Mouse side she might get a decent number, Kiara isn't really that much bigger of a draw than Ollie but the novelty of it being the first Holo/Vshoujo collab won't be there. And that's the sad part. For Niji to be as dominant as they are in their home country and not translate it overseas. They had a head start vs Holo, they had a boost by Pewdiepie and the early Vtuber boom, but they did nothing with it. If you just focus on the top tier of both Nijisanji absolutely contends with Hololive and sometimes surpasses them. It's the mid and lower tiers where Hololive truly pulls ahead. Hololive's mid and low tier perform so much better than Nijisanji's.

You're right for most of the comment, except for the "top tiers of both companies" part imo because the only Nijis that can reliably reach 20k is Kuzuha, Ib (with MC) and Kenmochi. I consider Fuwa, Ib (non-MC), Yashiro and Kanae to be in the Niji top tier as well, but they cannot get 15k on a regular basis. On the other hand, there's almost a dozen Holos who get 15-20k nightly.

Most Nijis do very poorly aside from a small handful at the top. The company as a whole could have greatly benefitted from an influx of viewers, especially the overseas branches. I think wave 3 and 4 will get the same treatment. Wave 3 because they can't let what momentum die they have die before wave 4 debuts, and wave 4 because they have to shoot their shot with males and try to replicate what they have going on with their JP side. If wave 3 only does as good as the first 2 and the males completely fall on their face they might rethink their strategy.

I don't know much about the niji fanbase though. I only heard about TomoexSukoya ship that lesbians like.
