I'd say realistically it's more like 6 months if you put a good amount of time into doing some study(anki for vocab and some grammar) and a lot of immersion to get to understanding a good portion, and a year+ for understanding most.
Again, this is if you're dedicated and/or have a good 3+ hours you can spend on immersion each day, and maybe 30-60 minutes for study.
