I think the bigger aspect is that you aren't forced to sign an NDA that forces you to memoryhole multiple years of your career and all the interactions you had with your friends. Nyanners and Vei for example still talk about things they did in VShojo from time to time. Nyan has even done multiple collabs with VShojo members since leaving. People that own their IP can leave and don't have to pretend to be a different person.
