The IP is owned by the corporation, so are all the other various additions and assets, and the artist and other creators are contracted with the corporation, not the voice talent. The management is also part of the corporation staff, so is everybody else that supported the collaborative effort to bring the character to life. Just because the voice talent graduates, that doesn't mean they are the same person, or that they can become the same person on their own. Because the person of the character was never a single individual human being. It's delusional to believe that the voice talent working a new job is the same as the character that graduated.
