Didn't earn it, doesn't deserve is a meme but it's also rooted in truth. Within a year of learning about Hololive Gura became the largest and most marketable talent in the history of Hololive. You can point to pretty much any holomem in any generation or branch and at some point they've had to put in work and grind it out to get where they are now.
Gura has never had any of that. She was a wastoid girl failure before Hololive and going from indie to Hololive enabled all of her worst traits because streaming is barely even a means to an end for her anymore. She can roll out of bed after being completely incommunicado for months on her 1.0 model just bullshitting and 40k people will show up, donate, member, subscribe, and the Gawr Gura brand is revitalized in the mind of the merch-buying consumer.
Gura is stuck in a Twilight Zone episode. She succeeds so effortlessly, but because there was no struggle there is no sense of achievement in anything that she does. She owes all of her success to her community, but she can't even feel accomplished for developing her community because they materialized so quickly and in such numbers.
