Were they? It took every single available buyback, as well as even attempting to turn it into a margin trading stock just to survive. The EN branch went from being a significant source of income to almost completely worthless over the course of the year, with virtually no hope of recovery.

I don't think they actually care. It does seem like they've cut their losses as far as Doki goes. They have far more to deal with right now than a random girl they fired across the planet.
It's not like anything she does could ever stop them from doing something in Japan.
