Gamers are kind of a shit audience because a lot of their precious attention in the day is focussed on Games, i.e. playing games. Most prefer games they know well enough so they can judge the gameplay and know what's going on out of context, the one thing that works better in steams is story games like Undertale, I'd bet there's a huge chunk of people watching who never touched the game themselves.
So streaming games is a constant battle for attention, meanwhile if you can sell your character well enough you can have your unique brand of Zatsu "content" (in this case it even has a name, "yapping") which all the non-gamers in the audience can lap up regardless of context.
Faunimi is in a good position here, and I bet holo management only applied the dime-a-dozen framework to her and offered her terms which do NOT correspond to the potential, together with being more in Japan which for animal owners means less time with their pets. Faunimi would be devasted to not be with Snail when he dies I bet, and can kinda understand the dealbreaker here.
I don't think there's much reason for drama. I wish she'd have done her announcement a bit less aggressive, Snaplings were up in arms to defend their queen. The holo framework works for a ton of "talent", it didn't fit Faunimi's unique spot, enough for an "oh well" but not enough for the endless shitflinging we witness on this board from all sides.
