If you're a male and you put on an anime suit, you will simply alienate that crowd since your model is a distraction from gameplay, and a lot of that crowd hates weebs with a passion for a multitude of reasons.
Males are also judged by their numbers (like how irl they're judged for how much money they have).
As a "new male VTuber", your low numbers beget low numbers, because women chase high numbers first and foremost.
"Competition" just means that male is more attractive to the woman, whereas it's the opposite for males. Which is why the bigger a female VTuber gets, the less creepier and more "normal" their audience becomes.
