>>94002030Alright ding dong, you want to really pull the wool from your eyes? Not just baiting for (You)s, you really wanna know some horrible shit about this industry?
It's not that idol culture is toxic to any girl participating in it, it's not that the industry preys upon lonely men for their money, it's that every chuuba is essentially a different branch of the same religion.
It's all cults of personality, from top to bottom. Mind, that doesn't mean they're inherently harmful. In fact a lot of anons have outright improved their lives because they joined their respective branch, but it's still a cult of personality centered around a fallible person.
Why do you think there's such insane backlash if a vtuber does something that breaks the fans image of them? I'm not talking just something like saying a benign social faux pas that schizoids will take to heart as a betrayal, or actions that are debatable. I'm talking catastrophic events like being caught fucking a male coworker, or caught on tape saying you actually hate doing what your fans like and wanted to do something else. (hypothetical examples to avoid riling up any specific branch's followers)
The answer is simple, it's the equivalent of if Mother Mary was still alive somehow, regularly speaking to Christians, and then it came out she was just a whore who passed off Christ's birth as divine to avoid punishment. To the biggest disciples of these new religions, a revelation like that is literally psyche shattering. This is why there are chuubas who had events like this and still have fans to this day throwing money at them. Sending money in these extreme of cases is simply a means of unconsciously maintaining their delusion.
Everything, literally every single thing regarding fan behaviour and chuuba culture, makes immediate sense when you notice it's all hijacked cult brain circuitry. Case and point, this post is guaranteed going to get people labeling me a schizo, insult me, or make sophomoric arguments that hold absolutely zero water, despite never actually ascribing traits to people into chuubas beyond acknowledging it's positive sometimes.
