The sad thing is, most of those people aren't pretending, they think the only reason they don't play whatever niche game they think it's a masterpiece simply because they don't have the permission for it, the truth is even for Hololive they already got long list of games by now and most member, most of the time would rather play the 2-3 same game for various reasons and often forget that most people not just vtubers are casual gamers, also most streamer in general only stick with their favorite games or genre

The bad thing is how holo is always lagging 1-2 months behind everyone and the game is already boring at that point.

I remember when Lethal Company was new, Henya had been playing it for like two weeks before having a collab with Pomu and some of the Niji EN girls right after they got perms. She was comparatively an expert in the game and was showing them shortcuts and stuff.

almost every fotm game is like that. you spend weeks watching indies play it, have your fun, then suddenly everyone in hololive is playing it when you're already bored of it and indies have moved on to the next game.

the only times holo avoids that scenario is with new AAA game releases, who they secure perms for before release. problem is nowadays AAA games are boring slop lol.
