This image makes me realize just how shit the Kroniis look. I feel like most of them somehow reflect the streamer in at least some way but Kroniis are just "fuck it it's a clock with a hat"

Not holo but I think Elira's is fucking awful.
She did a fan mascot contest, then threw them all out and tried to mix the best ones into this ugly monstrosity.
A lot of the fan designs were legitimately good.

This seems to happen every fucking time a streamer designs their own fan mascot without hiring or even consulting an actual designer or artist.

Coming from an artist, Takos, Otomos, Sanalites, and Grems are the best.

As for the worst, Ruffians have too much going on, the jailbirds aren't very memorable, and the sapling is the laziest design.

The frostpunk design got phased out for the butler and maid.

Ah, that makes sense, but I think it's still too vague and wouldn't work well for merch. The chibi version is much better for the sake of fanart and merchandise.
If there's too many human sized characters in a piece like most vtuber art, I feel like it would detract from the subject (the chuuba)

Yeah. If anything it's clever from a fanart perspective. You can easily draw/simplify the first and last stages, and people who wanna go all goth and hard on the art can use the middle ones for maximum messiness.

She also has people submit fanart of their novelite OCs to use in her unity projects as NPCs. [picrel]
Since they're just decorated ink blobs at their core, people get REALLY creative with them.
