when you think about it, that's probably also why chimkin and rrat keep throwing around japanese - they realize they'll lose any progress they've made on it if they don't use it. I imagine brapper's japanese is shit for that reason - she probably's spent her time in japan avoiding having to use it, like haato's boxing herself up with work undermined her english.

I stand by my belief she was better when she was simply a weird girl and not LE EBIN SCHIZO BUG EATING MEME MACHINE that she's made herself into. especially since trying to keep momentum with that shit is even more draining that just doing the job normally, which in conjunction with university does not make a good mix for her being able to be active and enthusiastic for either her job or her studies. I worry she's gonna burn herself out, 'cause the candle lit at both ends does not last the night
