I'd just like to interject for a moment. What you're referring to as gen2, is in fact, Council, or as I've recently taken to calling it, HoloCouncil. HoloCouncil is not a generation unto itself, but rather another subsection of a fully functioning Hololive branch made useful by the gaming, karaoke and zatsudan streams comprising a full corp as defined by Cover.
Many holos stream on the new subsection of HoloEN every day, without their fans realizing it. Through a peculiar turn of events, the version of HoloMyth which is widely used today is often called HoloEN gen 1, and many of its users are not aware that it is basically the vtuber idol system, developed by Cover.
There really is a new group of HoloEN vtubers, and these people are watching them, but they are just a part of the branch they watch. Council is the subsection: the subsection in the branch that separates the group of holos to the other holos that you watch. The streamers are an essential part of a unified branch, but useless by themselves; it can only function in the context of complete unity. Council is normally watched in combination with Myth: the whole branch is basically Myth with IRyS and Council added, or HoloEN. All the so-called "gen 2" holos are really members of HoloCouncil.
