I am surprised that despite being serialized past when the anime finished, both the anime and manga had a similar ending, usually there's sort of an anime only thing going on but it was pretty samey, albeit a lot less detailed. Not usually the case, though the contents of the last volume kind of explain that.
The extra life chapters add a lot to the story. Older Shio going full schizo was something, that's a damaged kid, not surprised though.
The manga scene with Shio and Satou falling had me feeling a pit in my stomach for their descent, even though I knew what was going to happen.Happy I got to revisit the series, I wish I could have a Happy Sugar Life too.
