I did think Marine said something really really interesting in the 1yearfromnow kikaku quiz though a few days ago.
The prompt was, "Pekora takes a hiatus. What was the reason?"
And Marine's response was, "she was lured by the temptation presented by Akatsuki",
as in, that she saw how successful Aqua was as an indie and was convinced by how much more lucrative than staying in holo and decided to defect as well,
and then Marine acted out an impression of Pekora deciding to take time off in order to get ready for her graduation and indie re-debut.
The fact that she said this so publicly suggests it's on everyone's mind. Aqua more than anyone else really set a precedent.
