The AA from resizing is much better overall than anything used for the brush systems of most programs, and you have more control over that with filters AND the resizing algo you use.
Depending on the program, the workflow mostly remains the same but just zoomed out more.
I guess it depends on your tablet as well, the precision, it's ironically far easier to be more precise with a mouse on larger canvases.
But it comes a point where sub-pixel values literally match the pixels so it becomes a non-issue. (i tend to draw double target res)
Simple example in pic related
800x600 on left, and doubled once then twice and resized back to original.
Pixel brush was used in all 3 at 5, 10 and 20 pixel size.
400% has no real noticeable difference at this size, 200% is perfectly fine, but if your target res is 2k+ it can protect subtle details. However you can usually get the same with a subtle sharpen filter before or after resizing, again giving you more control without needing to deal with drawing a fucking 12k image in some cases, hell nah.
Always fun trying out new things, I've been enjoying drawing entirely with pixel brushes doing this method recently, makes coloring so goddamn much easier.
